Grass-fragrance type...

You have very strong will, not dependent on others and give an impression of being a lone-ranger. You are extremely curious and sensual, living a clear-headed, modern life. At first glance, you place yourself on a pedestal, and are difficult to get along. But once others talk to you, they know you are easygoing. And when the relationship develops, they realise you are affable. You have an androgynous charm, which makes you popular with all genders. But you don't like your weak side to be seen. You might look cool on the surface, but beneath it all, you are really passionate. Only people who know your true self can maintain a long-lasting relationship with you.

This is the result I got after doing some character analysis thingy forwarded by Chandra. Grass fragrance? Does Elizabeth Arden Green Tea counts? Heehee =) Analysis is rather accurate. Anyone interested to try the quiz?

Long time no Neoprints

1/2 day work today. But I left office @ 3pm only after settling whatever was needed by AO & SL. Took MRT and dozed off the entire journey. I was even contemplating to alight @ Bugis. Sleep so shiok! If not for the appointment with Mindy & Elly, it's most likely that I would have taken the MRT all the way to Jurong.

I grabbed a quick bite in McDonalds. Browsed thru the books in Kinokuniya Bookstore. Several interesting titles but putting off my purchases till I'm done with all the new, untouched books in my room. Bought Old Chang Kee & a bottle of mineral water before taking a leisure walk to Takashimaya.

On several occasions I have walked from Orchard to Bugis, at night. Taking the same route from the opposite direction and in broad daylight was slightly akward. Had the entire pavement to myself too.

Finally, I met Elly in Takashimaya. Headed to Cineleisure for dinner and met Mindy.

Elly: "After this (dinner), I'm going to drag both of you to look for my handbag & shirt.

Mindy: "No no I never bring money!"

Me: "....."

The first thing we did right after dinner was to take Neoprints. Hahahah! Mindy gave both of us an update on which Neoprint machine was good, lousy, etc. Ages since I last took Neoprints. We got so hyped posing & giggling with madness decorating our 4 best shots. The result was very nice. Since each of us had our own liking, distributing the prints was a breeze.

By the time we left however, we were @ Plaza Singapura. Money spent yet Elly had bought nothing. Hahahha! =D

Frantic surprise...

Someone dropped by the office unexpectedly close to lunch time yesterday. Happy to see him but it's rather unsettling since most of us were in the midst of doing important & confidential work. Automatically, Margaret came out of her room & lingered around my table. Quickly saved my work & minimised the windows.

Made some idle chat before we all left for lunch @ KFC in EastPoint. I'm not a chicken lover but they had ordered one bucket of chicken while I settled my errands. Just sat and tucked in.

I had this hunch that he had called the office earlier before he came. True enough. This morning in office, out of the blue Chandra asked Fui Ling. Indeed, she had answered and not told any of us. Chandra asked "Why didn't you tell us?" She replied "Why should I tell you?" I had half a mind to throw her out the window. Heehee!

Harmless intention, wrong place. God, help us save our sanity while teaching this gal. She has much to learn. At times like this, I wonder if I was once like her too when I first joined the workforce. Bless those persevering souls for my nonsense. =) Amen!

There goes your diet, Sayang

Sayang came to office this afternoon to meet & have lunch with me. At 1pm, Chandra announced that he was going for lunch. Margaret, Fui Ling & I noted and started saving our work. Then he hollered again. This time Margaret made a dash for the ladies while I finished up my cheque preparations. By the time Chandra made his final announcement, all of us scrambled out of the office. Hahah! We always enjoy & have lunch together no matter how busy... unless hindered by urgent datelines.

We crossed the road and had lunch @ the 2nd storey kopitiam. All of us bought food from the same Malay stall. The sambal kacang & belacan rawkz! Personally I find this stall better than the other Malay stall (there's only 2 by the way). The lady gives rice servings rather generously. I think she's happy that I brought one troop of hungry monsters with me. =P For a change, I had Lime juice. Not too sweet, not too sour - cool!

I got teased for not introducing Sayang to my colleagues properly. Aiyoh... embarassing. Sorry Sayang heehee! We managed to finish most of our food, given the generous servings. While drinking & talking, Sayang suddenly mentioned about eating durian (from reading about our durian escapades). That alone triggered us to walk the distance to the fruit stall nearby. Hahaha!

We bought 3 durians - ate 2, rejected 1 and was replaced with 2 durians! Oh my god! First durian was a breeze, second durian was still ok but the third & fourth was a struggle. Imagine having all these foods within an hour...

Needless to say, the smell was overpowering. 5 of us mind you, in an air-conditioned office. We took turns to wash, rinse & gargle before popping minty sweets. Sayang left after that. But not before I gave Clorets. Fui Ling could hardly stand the smell of her hand & mouth. Margaret's Mentos & Halls became hotsellers.

Mental note: Buy minty sweets & put in pantry. Forecast durian rituals more often. Thank God for the wonderful lunch. Thank Sayang for postponing our dinner date.

Saying the right thing... PRICELESS!

Having been to Little India juz recently, I had wanted to spend my weekends resting. Minah on the other hand, wanted to go there. Yesterday, we decided to relax & watch "Mujhse Shaadi Karoge" in the comforts of her house. Our initial plan to meet @ 3pm was postponed all the way to 7pm - she came home later than planned, I dozed off waiting for her.

Her youngest bro, Haikal too joined to watch the lighthearted comedy. Gotta say we like Priyanka's hairdo in the show. When the film ended, we continued talking in her room. Updates on work, on life, on everything... I finally left @ half-past midnight! Luckily our houses are within walking distance. Phew!

I'm enjoying my weekends here. Enjoy yours! =)

Marty wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table. He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed.

Marty looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotless, clean. So is the rest of the house. He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to go shopping. Love You!"

So he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there is a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Marty asks,"Son, what happened last night?"

His son says, "Well, you came home after 3 AM, drunk and delirious. Broke some furniture, puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door."

Confused, Marty asks, "So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?"

His son replies, "Oh, that? Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you said, "Lady, leave me alone, I'm married!"

Wibble wobble

Margaret's hubby came to fix our office lights this afternoon. We went "Ooh" & "Aaah" the moment he switched on the lights again. Heehee... very bright! =)

Fui Ling & I left the office @ 7.30pm and headed straight to Little India. First, we went to the candy shop. The last time Fui Ling bought candies, she said that they were too sweet. She chose to buy Muruku instead. We stood there looking at the display while patiently waiting to be served. God, the customer took his own sweet time to choose. Several times, the uncle told us to wait. In the end, he gave us some candy to sample while waiting! Fui Ling liked whatever it was that we sampled. She bought 3 of those, on top of the packet of Muruku. I bought my usual - Ladoos.

Quickly we entered Komalas. It was already 9pm. Both were hungry. Fui Ling said her stomach has been rumbling non-stop. She ordered Bhaturra set & Lime juice, I ordered Poori set & Badham milk. After that, we shared another Chappati set. The uncle who served us was steady & cool. The guy who sat at the next table was not. Hahaha! His jaws dropped. I kept a straight face to avoid being labelled a crazy woman.

The walk from Komalas to Mustaffa Centre did us some good. We bought whatever stuffs we needed. Almost bought drinks for the office pantry too. We dropped the idea after realizing that the provision shop is near our office. I can't bear to fight the morning crowd with a carton of drinks. *faintz*

Out of Mustaffa Centre, I made a beeline for my favourite VCD shop. I had no idea that Fui Ling enjoys watching Hindi movies too. I was searching for Veer-Zaara but it's not available yet. The 2 guys recommended Hulchul, Aitraaz & Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. Sigh... I definitely did not disappoint them. =P

The next thing I have to do will be to set aside time to watch those movies. Until then, goodnight. Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Nursya! =)

Occupational hazard - heart attacks...

I woke up this morning in a very blur state, half wondering if today is 1st Jan 2005 or is it already 3rd Jan 2005 and I should be in office. God, help me! It didn't help that my parents asked if I had to work today.

That soon settled. Midway while chatting with The Doctor, I panic. Uh-oh... forgot to collect the staffs' time cards. Very important & urgent mind you! I don't want to have nightmares from delaying their payroll.

In the evening, the Lot 1 outlet called me urgently - cashier machine problem. The supervisor wasn't able to give a detailed report due to unfamiliarity. I rushed and arrived in 20 mins flat expecting big trouble. Not. Phew! The cashier was smart enough to figure out her mistake. It seems she forgot to do her daily closing yesterday after I taught her to do monthly closing. Hahah! =) At least we both know that everything will be running smoothly tomorrow.

What a way to start the new year!
