First tuition lesson in Tampines...

Thursday - my permanent day off. I got a new tuition assignment all the way in Tampines! Crazy? Nope. Out of my way definitely but I don't mind. After all I'm juz helping out a fren with noble intentions.

I had assumed that journey would take about an hour. Wrong. It took me 1 1/2 hour. I slept throughout my journey back & forth.

Tuition boy was ok. Initially shy but his friendliness reminded me so much of his sister. Definitely knows his stuff where Maths is concerned. Weak in English though... hmmm.

Emode = Tickle?!

Did a Classic IQ test for the heck of it and was stunned to be directed to Tickle.com instead of Emode.com! When did it changed? I dunno... but luckily there was no requirement for re-registration.

anyway here's my IQ results:

Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns.

Hehehehe... me? Plato? wrong sex. =)

Stuck on you...

Usually on Hari Raya (Puasa & Haji), my family would spent the first day visiting our grandparents, granduncles & grandaunts. The recent Hari Raya Puasa was spent at home and today, same thing happened.

Being committee members of the mosque, my parents had to spend the entire day there since 7am. I had somehow expected them to be back by noon so that we could still go out visiting but they didn't. In fact for the first time, they spent their entire day and night there. Totally pissed me off. They complain when I don't set aside time for the family and yet when I finally did, where are they? Had I known, I would have rather work and set my off on another day.

It almost looked like I was going to end up stuck at home. Instead I called Dearie and planned for a movie outing. We had matters to discuss too. Met Dearie @ West Mall in the afternoon and watched 'Stuck on You'. The story was so-so. We were more interested to see Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear play the roles of Siamese twins. It's definitely not easy for 2 ordinary people to stay stuck to each other (worse than having shadows).

After movie, it was dinner @ Burger King. Both of us were so hungry that we chose fastfood over rice. Spent another hour or so eating and discussing. Then headed home. *Yaaawwnn* I gotta go. Morning workshift tomorrow. Goodnitez! =)
