Contract ends - Last day of work

Woke up this morning feeling sssooo super lazy. I have some filing work in hand but office has run out of files. Order was supposed to arrive yesterday but it didn't. I got so restless that I started punching all those papers. Sigh... looks like today I will be sorting them in alphabetical order. Just to pass time.

Came to work and practically strolled to my office. Then I realised it... I didn't bring my badges & locker key! Aaargh! Of all the days, why must it be today?! I'm suppose to return all badges & benefit card to my supervisor before I receive my paycheque. Shoots!

Punched in my timecard, dumped my bag under the office table and met my work buddies @ 7-11 to buy Twisties for breakfast (sudden craving for crackers in the morning).

Now, I am slacking away... using the admin clerk's pc. She's on leave today. My lunch buddy smsed to remind me about the badges & benefit card couple of minutes ago. Sigh... looks like I have to call him and explain. Most likely I will have to go to HR dept after lunch.

Lunch treat @ Tambuah Mas Restaurant... & Fusionpolis Building collapsed...

I'm the one who's gonna end my job contract this Friday but it looks like everyone else in the office is doing the countdown for me. Good riddance perhaps? Hahahahhaha...

Yesterday before I left the office, the assistant Manager told me that we are to have lunch together. Today while I was reading the morning papers, Kak Sariah came over and mentioned it again. She added "Cancel all your lunch appointments."

Come to think of it, wow it's already end of April! Ever since I started working in the security department I have longer lunch breaks - an hour instead of the measly 30 minutes, my lunch meal is more proper - rice, noodles or fish & chips instead of instant noodles, pastries or hot dogs and I always have my luncheons with 4 guys. My office has been declared as the 'reporting centre' because it's where we meet before going out for lunch or going out after work. Those 4 guys have been titled as my 'lunch boyfrens' and the asst Manager calls me the 'superstar'. Haha =)

By noon, Kak Sariah & I were ready to leave the office. Our stomachs were growling in hunger. But the asst Manager wasn't in office. The asst Manager and Ops asst finally came into office at 12.15pm. I had no idea where we were going so I kept quiet.

We went out for lunch by car. Initially they wanted to go to a Nasi Padang restaurant. Unfortunately when we arrived, we saw the shop being renovated. So the asst Manager brought us to Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant @ Novotel Apollo Hotel Singapore. But we didn't make any reservations. That place is so popular and its entire area was reserved for lunch. They couldn't even afford to set up a table for 4 of us. Hmmm... mental note: have lunch / dinner there some day. ;-)

Time was ticking away and my colleagues were thinking hard. The asst Manager didn't want to enter CBD area and wanted a place with fast service. Without a word, he drove us to Tanglin Shopping Centre. He parked the car behind the shopping centre. My sense of direction became disoriented for a split second. Finally it dawned upon me... Tambuah Mas Indonesian Restaurant!

Basically lunch consisted of Ikan Pepes, Tahu Telor, Kangkong Belachan & Sup Sayur Asam. A slightly different choice from what I usually eat when I'm there, nonetheless it was nice. New dishes to my eating list! =) I had wished that someone ordered Rendang Lembu but nobody did. As the asst Manager put it, the lunch treat was for me. I do not feel nice making personal orders when the rest seem so hesitant. On top of that, I had Es Chendol Kacang for dessert. Unlike some eating places' pathetical health-conscious version, this Es Chendol Kacang was a sweet-killer. Love it to bits but boy, the santan's (coconut milk's) powerful impact went straight to my body system.

Returned to office @ 2.15pm. 2 hours! Hahah... I felt very full and sleepy. Forced myself to drink lots of water, raced to the ladies' and only then felt more alert.

Barely an hour later, our office received news that Fusionpolis Building collapsed. Another new MRT construction site...

Mundane Monday...

Morning was boring and slow. Punched in my timecard, settled down in my office seat and proceeded to have my breakfast & newspaper reading. That's what I've been doing for the past 1 week. Lots of slacking.

All major tasks given were done too quick. As a result, the department managed to quicken their dateline by a week. But I ended up bored to tears. Don't feel comfortable doing nothing in the office especially when I'm confined to my office room with no telephone or Internet connection. Heeheehee ;-)

Usually I would linger around the admin clerk's cubicle... bugging her for some work no matter how small. Instead she will pass me Streats, Strait Times, New Paper and other nonsense. I believe she would have given me Tamil Murasu and Lianhe Zaobao too if not for my language incompetency.

Finally after lunch, she came to my office with files and one box of papers filled to the brim. Task: Filing. Hmmm... she must be running out of things for me to do. Ah well, something than nothing.

I'm becoming sssooo forgetful!

Came home late yesterday so naturally (hehe!) woke up late. I stayed home throughout the day. Kinda unbelievable yet I didn't watch the Hindi film on Vasantham channel, completely forgot about my ex-colleague's wedding and if not for Minah, I would have forgotten that I had an appointment with Yusman (he eventually postponed it. phew!) Goodness gracious what's becoming of me?

The only thing I remember was to change my 'Prem Granth' vcd @ Tekka Mall. Minah & I planned to meet up for dinner @ Bugis. She was craving for the seafood soup in one of the kopitiam stall. Unfortunately the shop was closed. Detoured and went to Siam Kitchen Restaurant. Devoured everything that was ordered - despite what I ate yesterday.

After dinner, we walked our way to Mustaffa Centre. Haikal & Minah took a different route to get there and for once, I felt uncomfortable. We stayed there longer than expected. By the time we left, both of them were too tired to walk & take the bus ride home. Me? I was still ok.

Reached home @ 11.30pm. It's way to midnite now and I'm still up. Adrenaline pumping hard at the thought of having pictures in my blog (finally!!). Makcik is helping me out with the codes & stuff. Thank you besh fren. Mmmmuaacckkss!

Food... glorious food. 'Rijsttafel' (?!) @ Suntec =P

Half day work today. Unlike the 2 weeks ago, many of my colleagues were working. Apparently some were doing OT, the rest had taken their off last week to tie-in with Good Friday.

Work was definitely relaxed. Punched in my timecard @ 8.30am and by noon, Rose & Azura called. They had started work @ 8am. Azura asked if I was interested to go for facial. Me?! Heehee... It was free.

I talked to Rose and asked if she was coming along. She didn't want to. Persuaded her like crazy and she finally relented. Once work ended @ 12.30pm, I dashed out and met them. Travelled all the way to Jurong in a car, (interior modified like sports car but I looked at the gears; auto. ler...) courtesy of the lady who invited Azura.

I'm definitely not into facials and stuff, even if it's free. But I was having a dinner treat in town later and the idea of going home before going out again put me off. Doesn't matter if I have to be out from morning till midnite, but don't make me return home just to go out again. Uurrgghh!

Accompanied Azura... but Rose & I ended up getting facials. I definitely do not feel my face getting pampered. So many products for one miserable square area of skin *roll eyes*. As expected, time taken was just nice. I reached City Hall @ 6.15pm. Fairus & Azhar arrived half an hour later. Quickly hurried to 'Rijsttafel' @ Suntec as reservations made was for 5 people @ 7pm. Fairus' 2 other frens arrived after us.

Waiters started serving us dishes. The portions were measly and initially I thought it was a case of daylight robbery. Finally when everything was served, I was stunned. Small portions no doubt, but many many dishes. Buffet dinner mind you... how on earth are we going to finish all of them? I felt full just looking at them! Hahahaha...

Thank God there were guys around. We managed to finish all dishes and even requested for extras before leaving the restaurant and hurried to the washrooms. Completely forgot to bring my digicam. Used Fairus' digicam instead to take pics of those food and us eating there. Happy Birthday Fairus!

Does your weblog own you?

Visited Makcik's webbie to look at her Temerloh's pics and found this test. Hahahah! I totally agree with the results. =) I have not updated my blog for sssssooooo long, it looks more likely to have been 'dumped' by me!
