Nur

Take the quiz: "What kind of eyes do you have? "

Eden
You have eden eyes. Eden is the color of water. Your eyes symbolize your great flexibility. You are a creative person. You can think of many good ways to get your point across to people as you have very good communication abilities. When someone feels down or is hurt, you have the remarkable ability to help them and heal them. If you have too little going on in your life, you may be withdrawn and depressed, timid, manipulative, unreliable, stubborn, or suspicious. Some words to describe you: peaceful, sincere, affectionate, tranquil, intuitive, trustworthy, pure, loyal, healing, & stable.

Nah! Unless I wore lenses... but why spoil my perfect eyesight? I decided to take the same test again. This time I changed my answer to the final question and I got this:

Moonlight
You have moonlight eyes. Moonlight is the color of mystery. Your eyes symbolize your ability to see yourself as others see you. You have finesse for letting other people know what you think. You have a soothing and calming ability that you may or may not know about. You have the awesome ability to draw a person's negative energy out and replace it with a positive energy; the world needs more people like you. Some words to describe you: patient, self-controlled, perseverance, insightful, reflective, understanding, serene, and caring.

Hahahahha sure or not?!

3 Iftars

This year I made it a point to return home to break fast with my family. Other than those times when I had no choice but to break fast in my classes, I actually did it! And of course, with the exception of 2(+1) iftars that happens without fail every year. =)

For some odd reasons, AMPYC iftar and BT iftar always clashed. This year, I finally had iftar with the AMPYC gang @ Beach Road last Saturday. Abg Man Dee was craving for tulang. 12 of us turned up and occupied 2 tables. 1 table had tulang, the other table had other foods to break their fast. 15 minutes past Azan and there was still no tulang on our table. My glass of sugar cane juice was already half empty, I had already munched on the breads served and Abg Man had gone to the stall thrice to check before it finally arrived piping hot. =) After Maghrib, all of us headed to Arab street. The idea of heading down to Geylang Bazaar or Little India Bazaar on a crowded weekend had no appeal. Especially not after someone said that he was almost 'molested'. We chilled out @ Kampong Glam cafe till midnight. I didn't even know there was an opening ceremony of the Hari Raya lights till news crew approached our table for an interview. After much finger-pointing, Fazrin was interviewed. =)

On Sunday, I had a mini iftar with Khai. Julie backed out at the last minute. My 2 new-found friends that I got to know of while working in PG. We made reservations and even placed our orders in Yishun's Sakura restaurant. But the place was so packed. For the first time in my life, I break fast with Tom Yam seafood soup. Haha! My cup of tea was served much later. None the less, the staff did an excellent service recovery by going around each table to enquire if all orders were received. By 7.05pm, all tables were happily tucking in. Excellent!

Finally this evening, I had my iftar with the BT gang. We gathered in Masjid Sultan for our Maghrib prayers before heading down to Amirah's Grill to break our fast. Having opted for their buffet, we were given a table on their 2nd storey. We had our rounds of food & drinks before the guys requested for Sheesha. I dunno if the Don skipped his other appointment because of his 'broken horse' or because of us. Heehee! But he only left his seat with the rest of us @ 11pm. 12 years of friendship... and still going strong. =)

Now, with hardly less than 10 days to Hari Raya Aidilfitri I can safely assume that everyone is going to be very busy... "be it to rob a bank for Raya money, buy last minute Raya clothes or bake Raya kuihs". =P

To all my Muslim frens:

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri
Minal Aidil Wal Faizin.

Tag 1 - Weird

I'm taking my own sweet time to update my blog. Partly coz my laptop is physically spoilt. Heehee =P

Anyway here are the 3 weird stuffs about me:

1) I make it a point to finish what I eat. Well I'm sure so do most people. But for me, it's down to the last grain of rice or drop of soup. My aunt once said that my used plate need not be cleaned (jokingly of course). It's also my habit to mix all dishes with my rice before I take my first bite. Dun ask me why. Been doing that since young.

2) I love eating ice. Actually it's the bubblegum that I enjoy chewing. Since it's unavailable in Singapore, I chewed nuts instead. Believe me, my jaws hurt when I ate too many nuts. After experimenting around, I settled down on ice. Now cutting down on ice & soft drinks. The addiction is unhealthy.

3) I get headaches from too powerful odours. Be it minyak atar, perfumes or stenches. Over the years, thankfully things have got better. But no matter what, I still get headaches from the smell of coffee. Thankfully my family does not drink coffee. The stronger the smell, the worse is my headache. My late paternal grandmother once brewed strong black coffee. So strong that I felt suffocated and had to get out of my aunt's house for fresh air.

Rest assured, my best fren will add on more to this list. =P

To each his own idiosyncracies. I'm passing the baton to: 1) Dayah, 2) Nurul, 3) Ridj. Good luck!
