See ya around, Chandra.

A farewell dinner was held for Chandra after work. During lunch, us ladies went to EastPoint leaving Neo in the office alone. We bought Neo's lunch, some stationeries and Chandra's gift.

None of the cards in the bookshop looked good. Instead Intan voluntarily crafted & printed a farewell card. She cleverly chose some eye-shocking pictures from Today's to wrap the gift. The outcome was great. All were done in the office while Chandra was busy clearing his desk.

Chandra was definitely touched. =)

After dinner, we bowled. Just before bidding our last goodbyes, we took this shot.

Ella? Siti? Wrong names!

End of this month, Chandra is leaving. He's currently on study leave and I've not seen him in office for so long. Definitely gonna miss this joker.

Nice knowing you, Chandra. =) Keep in touch ya? Maintain your craziness though. Somehow your insanity keeps us sane.

Family Bowling

Dad wanted to bowl. We walked from home to BP Plaza and met up with Ain & Jeff @ bowling alley. Other than Mum who opted out and chose to watch us play, Dayah was working and couldn't join us.

First round - Jeff won. Dad wasn't too far behind him. Ain was third. I was last. Dad realised my mistake nearing the 8th ball but I couldn't catch up. Dad suggested a 2nd round.

Second round - I won. Jeff was leading when the ball slipped from his hand. It rolled straight to the gutter and Ain laughed out so loud that we laughed too! =) Jeff threw 2 more gutter balls and dropped to last.

It was only after the game that Ain mentioned... winner is to treat the family dinner. What kind of a rule is that?! Even Mum found it odd. Nonetheless, we grabbed our dinner in Sakura Restaurant and sprinted our way home to catch our Maghrib prayers.

Dad has set aside another date for bowling. Tentatively on National Day. Dayah... make yourself free. Ain, next time... loser's treat. =P

And the Fight begins...

There has been too much talk about the StarWars. Tell me, what's new? Soccer is forever a mania. I don't follow but I see people wearing jerseys too often. I watched Lord of the Ring trilogy. Interesting but not to the point of visiting the museum or buying the 'ring'.

This morning while I was chatting with The Doctor, he passed me this link. Hahahah! He himself loves StarWars but we can't help laughing at the creativy & imagination of these artists. Enjoy!

P.S The message is 2-in-1. =)

Family Burpday

Family decided to have an early dinner - as early as 6 o'clock - in Tambuah Mas. Dun ask why. Despite having been there countless times, my family still loves that place. =)

Mmuahh!

Your Birthdate: May 15

With a birthday on the 15th of any month, you are apt to have really strong attachments to home, family and domestic scene.

The 1 and 5 equaling 6, provide the sort of energy that makes you an excellent parent or teacher.

You are very responsible and capable.

This is an attractive and an attracting influence.

You like harmony in your environment and strive to maintain it.

You tend to learn by observation rather than study and research.

You may like to cook, but you probably don't follow recipes.

This number shows artistic leanings and would certainly support any talents that may be otherwise in your makeup.

You're a very generous and giving person, but perhaps a bit stubborn in ways.

Lurvely time, Pweeety blink!

Makcik smsed me last night to say that she was meeting up with Naz & Maya. Juz no idea where to eat yet. I told her I could only reached Causeway Point @ 8pm, earliest.

I left the office a quarter after six. Bus 10 came right after that. I switched buses and dozed off. I woke up and I was already in Woodlands @ 7.30pm! Woah!

Peered into Pizza Hut. No queue but lots of busy eaters inside. No signs of Makcik, Naz or Maya. Mmm... took my time to return a library book, called Makcik again, etc. The waiting queue at Pizza Hut has since lengthened. Looking at those hungry faces one by one, I saw Maya & Naz. =)

Finally the 5 of us gathered for dinner, gossips and what-nots. Chaos! Words flew freely uncensored (haha!), giggles & so much laughters that the couple at the next table kept looking at us. =P

Thank you dear ladies =)

Your point being... ?

Lots of people have been making noise about fare hikes. I'm one of them. All prices are rising!

On my way home this evening, the bus stalled several times from Bugis till Bukit Panjang. The first time it happened, I assumed it was just a glitch. Then it happened again... and again... and again. Silence. Sleeping passengers woke up and looked around, the inquisitive ones peered out from their seats while I chuckled softly. It's one thing to see and do something but when 'kaypoh'-ness is at work, I'm tickled. =)

Fortunately, the bus roared to life and drove thru PIE & BKE without any hiccups. 2 stops away from mine, it stalled again! As I was walked under the flats, I wonder if the bus was purposely not serviced. Mmm... hahaha!

Wars of Stars

My right temple started throbbing right after lunch in Banquet. According to Intan's own remedies, she recommended that I drank carbonated drinks to cure my migraine. I endured with the throbs till after work. Alighted in Bugis, went into Burger King and finished one regular Coke.

With the upcoming Starwars III in the cinemas, Burger King has its promotion of Galactic burgers - 3 star-shaped hash browns in between patty, vegetables & buns. I'm not a fan of Starwars. Doesn't stop me from eating the burger though. =)

Mood Quiz

You Are In a Fantastic Mood

You're confident, focused, and on top of your game.
People are attracted to your energy right now.
This is the time to go for it - you're likely to get what you want!

*Copied from Naz's blog*

Hey, it's Friday after all. =) I have a family kenduri tonight and since I will be rushing from work, I wore a kurta. Wouldn't have mind wearing my easy-to-crease baju kurung if I was coming from home. Mum had her own ideas though... which somehow did not reached my frequency. =D She has yet to understand that my sardin-packed MRT journeys are filled with too much squashing, trampling, pushing, and jostling. Not forgetting the sweat and bad breaths... often I arrive in the office not feeling as fresh & clean as when I left the house. :S

That's it! I WANT a car! Genie?

Number 18

A slightly different version of what I have read so far. The poor chap... =)

A first time prisoner is placed in his cell with a cellmate. Before long it is time for "lights out" and the cellblock becomes dark nearly silent.

Eventually a voice from across the cellblock cries out "twenty-two!" and everyone breaks out into loud and prolonged laughter. A little while later another voice calls out "forty-one!" and again the entire cellblock enjoys a hearty laugh.

The new prisoner is confused and asks his cellmate what this is all about. The cellmate replies that they have been in prison so long that rather than tell the same jokes over and over, they have assigned numbers to them as a more efficient way to tell jokes. The new prisoner asks if he could give it a try. His cellmate says "Sure, why not tell number eighteen!"

No response whatsoever.....not even a snicker! The new prisoner is confused and asks his cellmate what went wrong.

The cellmate replies, "Some people just don't know how to tell a joke!"
